101 Exhibitors to attend THAIFEX 2018
Development Council (TAITRA) is leading 36 quality Taiwanese certified suppliers/manufacturers and 6 food associations to exhibit in the 14th THAIFEX, at the Impact Exhibition Center in Bangkok, from May 29th to June 2nd, 2018. TAITRA attends THAIFEX, inviting YUNLIN County Government, the Taiwan Regional Association of Preserved Fruits, the Taiwan Confectionery, the Biscuit & Floury Food Industry Association, Taiwan Quality Food Association (TQF), and the Taiwan Frozen Seafood Industries Association to join forces along.
TAITRA’s involvement has drastically added weight to Taiwanese private sector’s involvement and exposure in THAIFEX, making Taiwan the 4th biggest after China, Korea, and Malaysia among all participating countries. Altogether, 101 Taiwanese suppliers using 122 booths (1098 sqm) will be on exhibit.

A variety of quality assuring product lines made in Taiwan, certified with HALAL, HACCP, EC, SQF, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, OHSAS 18001, USDA Organic, Taiwan TQF, Taiwan SNQ, or Taiwan CAS standards, are to be introduced at THAIFEX 2018. The Taiwan Pavilion will highlight Taiwan’s halal industry as well as bubble tea material, the Taiwanese seafood industry, while promoting a variety of snacks and biscuits, organic and functional food, coffee, teas and other beverages, frozen processed food, sauces, seasonings and the food packaging technology industry.

Thailand and Taiwan have both been recognized as the lands of gourmets, while Thailand is known for her abundant agricultural produce, Taiwan is known for her outstanding food processing technologies. Over the past years the bilateral trade of agricultural produce between Taiwan and Thailand has maintained a strong bond, reaching over US $850 million with trade peaking in 2012 at US $886.56 million. In 2017, Taiwan exported US$304 million of agricultural products to Thailand, going up with a leap about 38% from the 2016, remaining Thailand the 6th biggest export country for Taiwan. In the same year, Taiwan imported over US$806 million of agricultural products from Thailand, a 27% great increase from 2016, making Thailand the 5th biggest export partner of Taiwan.
